Take Me Home Tonight

Written by Ren Michael

Won’t you keep me, dear lady? Won’t you light my way home?
With you I see the blade of green in the fallen snow.
Let me put my hand in yours as you take me beyond, and
Envelop me in the warmth of your joyous song.

I used to sing the songs of a soldier marching in fire
I was a mercenary, a stone-cold disguise for hire
When I woke up this morning, from a series of dreams
I saw an old familiar soul staring down an empty stream

Take me home tonight, my darlin’ won’t dare
So sweet are thee, angel of the sea, your eyes they are so fair
Take me home tonight, won’t you stay at my side
With the rolling tide tonight, together we shall ride

What lies ahead for us now, I wait for with open arms
Thought it was a stranger tonight, as I slid down from the falling stars
I feel a new day, I hear the crashing waves on a distant beach
Look into my eyes, lady of mine, I’ll never be out of reach

Take me home tonight, my darlin’ won’t dare
So sweet are thee, angel of the sea, your eyes they are so fair
Take me home tonight, and stay at my side
With the rolling tide tonight, together we shall ride
