Fortune and Glory

I’ve been here before
in a shrouded dream
of distant memory,
in that morning sun
the grass
glistens
beneath me
and the everlasting sea,
it breathes,
giving rise
to the echoing chime
of fortune and glory

The words flow,
the fire stirs
the skin stretches,
feels good it burns
necessity lies
behind me,
the stars smile through
the clouds above me,
casting a light
of fortune and glory

to each other
we belong,
all the young
standing strong
over
the
thundering
hum,
to the tune of a beating drum
And while
cool water runs,
ever present loyal friend,
A wink beneath the lamplight glows
for you, for me
glimmering
above a pool
of love
shimmering
our own
divinity, and so

Behold the reflection
that of man
singing the song
of fortune and glory
